AI Form Generation

Using the AI assistant to generate a form from a description.

ZyntForms can generate a complete form from a plain-language description in seconds.


Using AI generation

  1. From your dashboard, click New Form
  2. In the form builder, click Generate with AI (magic wand icon in the toolbar)
  3. Type a description of what your form should do — be specific

Example prompts:

"Patient intake form for a hospital outpatient clinic — name, age, symptoms, referring doctor, and insurance details"

"Post-event feedback survey for a training workshop — overall rating, most useful session, improvements suggested, contact for follow-up"

"Job application form for a software engineering role — personal details, years of experience, tech stack, GitHub link, preferred start date"

  1. Click Generate
  2. The AI builds a complete form with fields, labels, and logical ordering in about 5 seconds

Editing generated forms

AI-generated forms are fully editable. After generation:

  • Add fields — click + Add field to insert anything the AI missed
  • Remove fields — click × on any field
  • Reorder — drag fields to rearrange
  • Edit labels — click any field label to rename it
  • Mark required — toggle the Required switch per field

The AI provides a starting point — you always have full control over the final structure.


Tips for better results

  • Be specific about your audience. "Customer satisfaction survey for B2B SaaS users" produces better results than "customer survey".
  • Mention key fields you need. If you know you need an NPS score or a file upload, say so in the prompt.
  • Describe the purpose, not just the topic. "Form to collect vendor onboarding documents for a hospital procurement team" is clearer than "vendor form".
  • Regenerate freely. If the first result isn't right, tweak your prompt and generate again. Each generation is independent.

AI question suggestions (Pro)

In addition to full form generation, ZyntForms can suggest improvements to individual questions:

  1. Click any field in the builder
  2. In the field settings panel, click Suggest improvements
  3. The AI will recommend clearer phrasing, better answer options, or validation settings
