Equipment

Register and manage hospital equipment in Kanta: categories, identifiers, department, purchase metadata, and photos.

Registering assets​

Use Add Equipment (floating action on asset views). After creation you get a QR code for physical labelling. Use Print QR label for a browser print dialog that only contains the label (not the whole app), then open View full record to add a photo, notes, or maintenance details.

Equipment detail (/dashboard/equipment/{id})​

From the equipment list, open any row to see:

  • Details — Read-only view with Edit for inline updates (same fields as add flow).
  • Photo — Upload JPEG/PNG (5MB max); stored in Cloudflare R2; requires connectivity (offline message explains sync for other actions).
  • QR — Display and Print QR label (scoped print root).
  • Status — Quick status change (syncs via offline queue when needed).
  • Scan history — Recent scans for this asset.
  • Maintenance — Last/next due, interval, Mark as maintained.
  • Fault log — Logged faults with severity; unresolved faults can be marked resolved with notes.

List view​

The equipment table includes a small thumbnail when photo_url is set; otherwise a neutral tool icon. Click a row to open the detail page (use the pencil control to edit in the modal without navigating).
