QR Scan

Scan equipment QR codes from the in-dashboard scanner (/dashboard/scan) or the standalone PWA scanner (/scan).

After a scan​

When equipment is identified:

  1. Record scan — Logs the scan with the selected status (offline-safe via the sync queue).
  2. Log fault — Optional fields: fault type, severity, description (min. 10 characters), optional photo. Submit creates a fault record and, for high or critical severity, sets equipment status to offline. Photo upload requires a network connection; you can log the fault without a photo while offline.
  3. Schedule maintenance — Sets interval (default 90 days) and notes, updates the maintenance schedule and records the maintenance cycle via the platform API (queued when offline).
  4. View full record — Available on the dashboard scanner only; opens /dashboard/equipment/{id}.

The standalone scanner includes fault logging and status recording in a minimal layout for mobile use.
